I bought a typewriter. Its a Remington Noiseless Portable (circa 1930-1940) and its beautiful. I wonder what my first letter will be.
Favorite Films of 2011
This year was an interesting one for film. I was surprised to see that the award season films are noticeably absent from my list. I think there were a lot of great films released this year. So many that few really stood out as THE movies that were ‘clearly’ the best. As a result my favorite films are diverse and span multiple genres, which is actually quite nice.

2012 New Years Resolutions
First of all, a review of 2011’s resolutions:
- Offer a drink to everyone when they enter my home: Success
- Get into Pitt sports: Failure
- Take more pictures: Success
2/3, that aint bad.
I think I was successful because I only set simple, attainable goals. This Year’s Resolution are similarly attainable, however they’re a little more involved. 2012 is all about life improvement. I’m hoping to be objectively happier by this time next year.
- Cultivate 2 new hobbies: I could use a new hobby to devote my time to. If i were to write a bio about myself, my interests would be less interesting than I’d like. I already have fishing/crabbing in mind. I just need another, preferably inexpensive one.
- Think seriously about my career. I’ll leave it at that.
- Attend more events; Music, Art or Lectures: There’s a lot of information to take in and I’m missing it, man.
- Work on my wardrobe. It could grow up a bit. I’ve been noticing that celebrities wear layers. I’m going to start there.

MY FAVORITE ALBUMS OF 2011 (#20 - 11)
Every year I like to put together a list of my favorite albums. It helps me remember the ones I loved and forces me to catch up on the ones I’ve missed. For your reading pleasure, I’m listing my top 20 here, in two parts.
I’m calling the list my favorite albums because I don’t really consider myself an authority on music and I’ve been too busy to listen to the number of albums I would have liked to. I’m sure I missed a few, but here’s what I’m feeling based on what I’ve heard and what I’ve liked. I’ve also included links to listen to these songs on Spotify- So go listen, thats the point of this.
